  1. problems uploading photos from SD card or camera

I am using a Dell latitude E6400 that was on 7 and now on 10 and since uploading 10 I can not upload photos from me card reader or my camera a Cannon 400D to my pictures , anyone else having problems ,

I use Flickr as a image hosting site and on there when I want to get the image code to post a photo on to a forum I can no longer get the code as when I select the photo and click the share tag as the dropdown comes up the image code bar slides off to the left not letting you click it to use it , will this be a windows problem or a Flickr problem ??

I am a bit of a Old luddite (69) and find this all very confusing and disappointing for what is supposed to be the most tested system they have ever launched ?? tested by whizzzz kids ???

    :)

Pictures and videos not being shown in camera roll when saved on a microSD card.

    With Skydrive auto-upload turned on:

    1) With SD card:

The photo is saved in my SD card.

The photo is uploaded to Skydrive's Camera Roll.

The photo DOES NOT appear in the local Camera Roll, and pictures are not viewable from the phone and I must connect to a PC to view the pictures.

    2) Without SD card:

The photo is saved in the phone memory.

The photo is uploaded to Skydrive's Camera Roll.

The photo appears in the local camera roll and is viewable without having to plug my phone into a PC.

May I add, that this doesn't only affect pictures.

When I add new music or videos on the SD card, they no longer appear in my collection.

However, they appear in the "newly added" section of the music+video hub.

  3. Can't see all photos on SD card & photos lost in Onedrive upload

I bought the Surface 3 days ago. Since then I have experienced problems uploading photos from my SD card, using an Inca USB 2.0 Compact card reader, onto the Surface. The surface does not show all the photos I have taken. After I upload the photos I
see available, the rest of them cannot be seen. I put the SD card back into my camera and they're still there. When I insert the card reader into the surface, a notification from Onedrive says " No new photos or videos to upload", when they are! The first
time I uploaded photos to Onedrive, they disappeared and I still can't find them. What is left on my SD card is blank file with the name: USB Çf³ PLEASE HELP ME :'(

problems uploading photos from SD card or camera

Yes, 10 won't let me upload pictures from my Fuji XP70. But ........... I can get the pictures by going into "this pc" and clicking on the camera icon. I can then find the pics and cut an paste them. Oh well.

  5. Hi

You shouldn't need to do any cutting and pasting.

Plug in your Camera or Card Reader Via USB

Then: Windows System>Scroll Down to>This PC>Where you should find your Camera Card listed as Removable Drive 'G'

Click: on this Hard Drive Symbol and DCIM comes up, then Click: on DCIM and 100SSCAM comes up Click: on 100SSCAM and all your Photos should appear (Maybe as Listed View) but if you Click: on the Tiny Thumbnail, at the Bottom Right, the Listed View them Changes into 'Thumbnails' or you can go back to listed view by Clicking: the Tiny Symbol next to the Thumbnail one.

So the First thing to do, is to Change the Listed View into 'Thumbnails' and if you want 'Bigger' or 'Smaller' 'Thumbnails' Click: View at the Top Of the Screen, where you can then Select the Sizes Available.

So having Changed the Listed View into 'Thumbnails' You can 'Drag and Drop' them into either Pictures, or another Folder or Sub-Folder of your Choice.

That way you also get to Choose the Photos that go in What Folder and as such you can also leave out the ones that you don't want.
