Problems w/ keyboard and touchpad after factory reset

Hi, I'm having problems with my Lenovo Ideapad 110S-11IBR model #: 80WG running Windows 10 x64 with 2GB of RAM. After factory resetting it, I can't use the setup because my touchpad and keyboard aren't working plugging in mouse/keyboard does t work either. I think this is due to misconfigured/missing drivers for them, which might have happened during the reset process. I am able to get into advanced recovery options and when resetting again, same thing... I've never has this happen, so I really don't know what to do about it.

    :)

    ASUS touchpad and keyboard problems

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I would recommend you to reset the drivers for your keyboard. To reset the drivers, please follow the following steps:

    1. Right click on the start button and open Device Manager.
    2. Under Keyboards, you will find Standard PS/2 Keyboard.
    3. Right click on it and click on uninstall.

Then restart your computer which will reset the drivers.

Note: If you find multiple options under keyboards, uninstall the drivers for all the options listed (only under keyboards category) and restart your computer. Also you can follow the same steps to fix the issue with your touchpad
(if it still persist). Touchpad drivers will be posted under Mice and other pointing devices.

    Hope it helps.

Ive factory reset my computer but I can't use the mouse or the keyboard to select laugage

    Hi,

A device like your keyboard and mouse is not detected during factory reset.
To help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps
that can resolve your concern, we would like to ask the following questions:

    • Are you performing a factory reset on a laptop or a desktop?
    • Is this the first time you perform a factory reset on your device?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve your concern?

In the meantime, if you're working on a desktop, we suggest that you try to use a PS2 keyboard just to bypass the installation process. Once Windows is up and running, you may now plug your mouse and keyboard to initialize Windows to detect these devices.

We look forward to your response.
