Windows 10: Problems with Action Center notifications: Started around April 8th

Hi i have a Tower PC with ethernet internet. I updated all my WIndows 10 taking all the updates available.

I'm at Version 1903 OS Build 18362.720


WEll it just happens that starting about APril 8th my notifications place i believe it's called the action center in the lower right corner of the screen started acting weirdly. It's always been like this: Location square colored blue and that's it. but now it keeps that but also cycling between Alarm and Focus squares turning blue. and when it is in alarm it shows a message inside the action centernot as a popup. You can also see the messages the usually pop out to the left of the screen's right edge are inside the Action center , they do not pop out like before.


So for example when i insert my external drives the pop up message about having inserted an external drive does not popup to the left. And same thing when i select the Eject, i do not the "you can now safely remove the drive" message anymore. What went wrong here? Are they gonna fix this? Or are there any solutions?


It does appear that the cycling between Alarm and Focus/Focus Assist stops after a while but it's very bothersome to have it.

Stop action center notifications in Windows 10

To stop action center notifications, I suggest you to follow the steps given below:

  Type settings in search bar and hit
  enter.

  Go to system.

  Select notifications and actions.

  Click on turn system icons on or off.
  
• 
  Turn off action center.

Action Center

Let's follow these steps to disable action center:

• Click on Start, type notifications in the search box.
• In the list, select notifications & action settings.
• On the right side, click on turn system icons on or off.
• Turn off action center from there.

Action Center not showing notifications

Action Center shows that I have notifications. However, when I open the Action Center there are no notifications; notifications not showing.
This problem started after the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809 which was installed on 10/2.

I tried these suggestions and none of them fixed the problem:

Notifications ARE turned on

sfc /scannow - No integrity violations

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth - No component store corruption

Someone suggested deleting C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\usrclass.dat

Ran Get-AppxPackage | % { Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml" -verbose }
