    Problems with dual monitor setup going dark


    Hi allI saw there are plenty of similar threads about this but none of the solutions are working for me.I have a Lenovo Legion laptop with RTX 2060, DisplayPort cable connected to Samsung Odyssey G3 monitor. Running on 1920x1080 and 60 hz. All windows updates installed. All graphics card drivers up to date. For whatever reason, I must have the monitors running in 'Extend' mode. If I try only running 2nd display the Odyssey G3, the screen goes dark with a small white bar on the top, flickers for a moment and goes back to 'Extend' mode. It's driving me insane. I only want the 2nd monitor quite

    Double Monitor Setup is not connecting

    Hi Yuri,

    To setup dual monitors, I suggest you to press Windows + P keys
    and select Extend or the required option and check for status. If you are still unable to setup dual monitor, suggest you to update the Display Adapter driver by following the steps provided below and check for status.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

    There are several factors which could prevent your dual monitors and your speakers from working properly. In order for us to effectively assist you with your concern, we just have a few questions for you:

    • Are you getting an error message/code when trying to run the dual monitors?
    • Have you tried running the hardware troubleshooter?
    • Have you tried running the System File Checker tool?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you already performed?

    Dual Monitor Setup Issues

    I have a dual monitor setup that works fine once I go to Intel Graphics Settings > Display > Multiple Display > Detect. But every time I restart my PC I have to do those steps again to get it to work. How can I have my second monitor recognized by default
    on startup?
