Windows 10: problems with facebook app update

Anyone having issues with the facebook app update, checked this morning and app update is offered in store. It downloads, and completes but the update keeps getting offered again, over and over. Downloads, completes each time fine. Weird behaviour. Launching the app and it works fine bar this update that repeats all the time

Notifications app introduced in Asha 311?

same problem .my notifications app is working with facebook but whenever i login facebook with another facebook id, notifications option does not show in facebook app. i also try updated facebook but in vain. why? please help

Have you updated the Facebook app in Store?

If Facebook app is already updated, then the problem is with Facebook itself. Please contact Facebook support for further help.

I tested our other PC and the app update offered and installed one time only. So the glitch was a local issue. I decided to uninstall the app and then re download it whereupon it seemed fine and no longer kept offering an update. Seems to be showing latest version as installed in line with our other machine. Weird behaviour totally specific to the Facebook app but it seems ok now. At least until next time there is an update that gets offered which judging by their using schedule will be in a couple weeks!
