    I need help.I have updated and now my PC shows a blue and white Critical Error sign when starting up. It advises to log out and in again. I do this and it shows the same message. I went through a range of trouble shooting options to clear it. Even starting it in safe mode. When I log in I do not have my normal set up- the pinned apps are no longer at the bottom of my page. My computer is slow and my internet is slow too. When I go on the internet bar, I minimize it and it totally disappears. This is the same for WORD. I am not very computer literate but have tired and its go to the point that

    Greg, Thanks for the reply. Techwalla link: removed HP update step one; No startup program group step two;No HP listed step three.

    HP Support: No support for my HP laptop driver, same from AMD manufacturer.

    We would suggest you to runt the Power troubleshooter and check.

    Try to run the troubleshooter and check.

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search box and hit
      Enter.
    • Select View all from the left pane and select Power.
    • Follow the on-screen troubleshooter and try the steps.
    We would also suggest you to update the firmware of the BIOS and install the chipset drivers and check.

    For steps related to updating firmware for the BIOS and chipset drivers, you may contact the HP.
