Windows 10: Problems with Printer Not Responding on my Windows 11 computer

I am concerned that this is a known problem with a brand new laptop that already had Windows 11 installed, and since I was not able to continue to use my Windows 10 Laptop thanks to planned obsolescence. I am also frustrated that there has been no resolution offered by Microsoft to fix this problem. Not everyone is a techy that uses a computer, and even those of us that do understand how to do some of this technical stuff simply do not want to spend their precious time watching YouTube videos so they can print or scan a document.Does Microsoft plan on pushing out a fix for this problem? I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to update the drivers for printer and check.

• 
  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand Print queue.
  
• 
  Right-click on the printer driver
  that is listed and click Update driver software.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to run the printer troubleshooter from
“Fix printer problems”
and then check if this fixes the issue.

Windows 10 + printer connection

The printer offline status is your printer’s way of telling you that something is wrong with the communication between your computer and your printer, so one of the first things to check is your printer’s connection with your PC. Here are a couple of things
you can try:

• Power off, and then power on your printer to restart it. Wait for a while for it to be fully ready.
• Check your printer connection. Check your printer and make sure that it’s connected to your PC network.

Aside from the above steps, I also suggest that you go through this list of suggestions to fix printer connection
in Windows 10.

Trying to connect to a printer that is physically on a Win 10 computer from a Win 11 computer to no avail.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble connecting to your printer. Since you’ve already tried the solutions suggested on the internet, here are a few more things you can try:

1. Make sure that the printer is shared on the Win 10 computer. To do this, go to the printer properties on the Win 10 computer and check the box next to “Share this printer” in the Sharing tab.
   
2. Ensure that the printer is visible to other devices on the network. To do this, go to the printer properties on the Win 10 computer and check the box next to “List in the directory” in the Sharing tab.
   
3. Try disabling any firewalls or antivirus software temporarily on both the Win 10 and Win 11 computers to see if that resolves the issue.
   
4. Check if the printer is compatible with Windows 11. You can check the manufacturer’s website for the latest drivers and software for your printer.
   
5. Try connecting the printer to a different USB port on the Win 10 computer.
   
6. If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings and then setting it up again.
