Windows 10: Problems with Recovery Drive

So, Ive been trying to create a Recovery Drive so I can replace my HDD. But whenever I try and create it, the window is stuck on "please wait" for over 30 minutes its been like this. But this isnt the actual recovery creation. Its the window that gives me a prompt on which Drive I wish to create the recovery drive on. Basically where I chose what to install it on.

On every video I see, its always nigh-instant or doesnt take longer than a minute or two. Yet for me its stuck, and I heard its stuck on this "please wait" loop, and for some others too.

Any ideas on what I am supposed to do ? Please help

• From the taskbar, search for Create a recovery drive then select it. You might be asked to enter an admin password or confirm your choice.
• When the tool opens, make sure Back up system files to the recovery drive is selected, then select
  Next.
• Connect a USB drive to your PC, select it, then select Next > Create. A lot of files need to be copied to the recovery drive, so this might take a while.
• When it's finished, you might see a Delete the recovery partition from your PC link on the final screen. If you want to free up drive space on your PC, select the link, then select
  Delete. If not, select Finish.
