Windows 10: Problems with Upgrading from Win 8.1 Pro to Win 10

Hello, I have Windows 8.1 Pro and want to upgrade to Windows 10. I have 50 GB free space on my hard drive. My pc is Dell Optiplex 7010, my graphic card is NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050, my processor is IntelRCoreTM i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz, I have 8 GB Ram. Every time I want to upgrade from Win 8.1 to Win 10, the installation breaks at 74% and it shows me that the installation of Windows 10 wasn't successful. I tried unplugging USB sticks, mouse, keyboard etc, I tried uninstalling Avast Antivirus, I installed newest drivers, but it didn't help. I'm uploading the content of the file SetupDiagResult

Win 10 Pro upgrade using Win 8 Pro product key

I just bought a new computer running Win 10 Home. When I went to upgrade to Win 10 Pro using my Win 8 Pro product key from my old computer, the upgrade wouldn't activate.

Now I'm stuck with a bunch of error messages (mainly 0xC004C003) and am being told windows isn't activated. I can't seem to get my activated Win 10 Home back.

I don't have a product key for the Win 10 Home because it came pre-installed. There's no product code recorded on the packaging or labelling on the device.

So:

How do I either

• activate the Win Pro upgrade, or
• Get my activated Win 10 home back?

 

Upgrading from WIN 8 to Win 10

Can anyone provide a step by step upgrade path/instructions to delete Win 8 and load/run Win 10..

upgrade win 7 home to win 10 pro via unused win 8 pro key

My samsung laptop runs windows 7 home sp1 64-bit. I purchased a licensed dvd of win 8 pro under a promotional upgrade scheme but have not used it so far.

1. can I use the unused win 8 pro key to upgrade to win 10 pro
?

2. if the above upgrade is not feasible, then do i need to upgrade first to win 8 pro, then to win 8.1 before going on to win 10 pro
?

3. in any of these two scenarios, will i need to re-install the main apps, ie. ms-office 2010 and norton internet security. all other stuff i use is open source or freeware.
