Windows 10: Problems with video card? Games crash, audio video cuts out

HiA few weeks ago, video games I was playing started crashing. I checked the GPU and CPU temperatures and sure enough, they were running hot even with the fans on full blast. I bought a laptop fan cooler and that seems to have kept the laptop at a good temperature and games no longer crash, but I still think I have a problem because the audio will cut out while loading turning the speakers off and on will fix it and I have now noticed when I play any video - whether internet streaming or native file - it will stop after a minute or so. I think I have an issue with my video card NVIDIA GeF

No Video Playback

There are several factors that may cause video clips not to play on Xbox App.
It is possible that your video card drivers are not updated. To properly isolate your concern, please clarify the following information:

• Are you able to play videos using other applications on your PC?
• Have you tried to check if offline videos are playing on your PC?
• Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers?

Video card driver crashing when playing games

We suggest that you rollback your driver. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R to open run dialog box.
• In the dialog box window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
• Right click on your video card driver -> Properties ->
  Driver tab and select Rollback driver.

If the issue persists, it could be better to contact the developer of the game.

Can’t hear audio while recording games or videos

We will need some more information to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please reply with the following details:

• How are you recording the games or videos?
  
• When you say, “I can't hear anything” you are unable to get the in-game audio or your voice?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you are using Game bar to record the games or videos, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming.
   
3. Click on Capture on the left pane.
   
4. Clear the check box for Record gaming audio only.
   
5. Follow the same steps for Broadcasting.
