  1. Problems with volume settings for Streamlabs output to YouTube

We are using a Windows 10 PC to broadcast livestreamed video and sound from our church services, using Streamlabs and YouTube. Prior to the services commencing we play music files using windows media on the PC. In order that the audio is at an appropriate level to be heard comfortably by the receiver on their smart TV the volume setting on Windows volume mixer needs to be around 60%. The PC has built in speakers and at 60% the volume for the PC operator is quite loud. I can't seem to figure out a way to reduce the volume of the PC speakers without reducing the volume setting across the board

    :)

  2. Audio volume cannot be changed while Youtube Video is playing.

    Model: Nokia Lumia 920

    OS version: 8.0.10211.204

    Firmware Revision: 1232.5951.1249.1001

    Hardware Revision: 1.0.0.0

    Radio Software Version: 1.0.202075.3

    Chip SOC Version: 8960

    Bug Reproduction Steps:

    • Use Bing to search any video
    • IE10 goes to the Youtube
    • Play Youtube Video
    • Even the audio volume is up to the max or down to zero, you still can't feel volume changed.
    • If I long press "<-" hardware back button to go to App Switch Screen, and change the volume at App Switch Screen. Thus, the volume of the Youtube Video will be changed.

  3. Chromium problems with Volume Mixer

    Build 21H1 19043.1052

I've noticed a problem that's only started happening recently. I usually set my installed Browsers to 50% of the Master Volume in the WIndows Volume Mixer. This has been fine for years but now both Browsers have begun resetting themselves back to 100%. This does not happen in Firefox. I've seen from another user that the same happens with Mic input as well as sound output.

Could someone confirm that they see the same behaviour?

Open Chrome or Edgium and play Youtube/Other Media.
Go to Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound/Adjust system volume
Adjust Browser to custom setting less than 100%.
    Close Volume mixer and Browser.
    Repeat first two steps.

Did the volume setting return to 100%?

With Firefox being unaffected i'm assuming this is a Chromium not Windows issues. That would be a shame as it would mean there's little that can be done here to fix it. It would be good to know if everyone is seeing the same behaviour though.

    Thanks.

YouTube will not consistently use my Bluetooth speakers?

Well, I've yet to figure out why this happens to YouTube/Chrome, but I've resolved the issue. If you want to specific an output device for Chrome, follow these steps in Windows 10.

    1. Right-click on the volume icon in your task bar, and select Open
      Sound Settings
      .
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the Advanced sound options -> App
      volume and device preferences
      option.
    3. On this screen you will see a list of "Apps". If Chrome (or any application) is behaving badly, then the chances are that a specific device is selected for output.

Since I want my system to behave consistently, I toggled from "Speakers/Headphones" to "Default". Using the default option should always output to wherever all system sounds are being played. If output is acting odd, then you can change the current settings (which are used for the app defaults) from the Master volume, Output and Input selection options at the top of the App volume and device preferences screen.
