    Problems with Win10 Freezing while starting games


    I built my computer back in Sept, and it's had Win10 on it since then, but just this last week (starting 3/29) it has begun to freeze when I try loading up games like Dead by Daylight or AC: Odyssey. It doesn't have any problems with other games like Magic: The Gathering Online though. When starting these games, it makes my computer go to a crawl, but when I open Task Manager, nothing is maxed out. In fact, everything is <20% utilization. I've tried reinstalling Windows and just Steam + Problem Games, but this problem persists.

    Any help would be appreciated, as I don't want to have to try to run MTGO & DBD through a VM on Linux (ACO works w/ Proton). If there's any other information, I'm more than happy to give those details.

    Hardware:

    • Ryzen 9: 3900X @ 3.79GHz
    • 32GB RAM
    • NVIDIA 2070 Super FE

    OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit build 19042.906

    Mods: If I'm missing any info, I'll fill it out. I just want my computer to function.

    Pyramid game freezes

    See my December 29 reply above:

    I ran the troubleshooter, no problems were found.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice. Pyramid game still freezes and closes randomly.

    It appears that I am not the only one with this issue. I am convinced that the problem lies within the latest Windows 10 update.
