Windows 10: Problems with windows 10 installation

Hi! I was talking to some friends on discord when suddenly what i suppose was my hdd started making some weird noises. I knew something was wrong but i kept talking with my friends as nothing happened when my pc suddenly freezes. I tried to restart the pc but when it booted back I was welcomed by the UGLY preparing automatic repair screen. At this point i was 100% sure there was something wrong with my hdd, yeah it’s like 7 years old and almost full to it’s capacity but i didn’t expect to watch it die so quickly. I found some videos on youtube that stated that sometimes the hdd bracket can get stuck on the disks or smtn like that so I opened the hdd looking for something weird but everything looked ok. So i put all back together and entered the bios to see if the hdd was being recognized at all and luckily yes, it is. I tried installing ubuntu just to see if i could access my hdd files and yet again i was able to. At this point i was sure that something went wrong with my copy of windows. I must say, yesterday a random blank folder appeared on my desktop and everytime i tried delete it it popped back up. Lookin on google it looked like there were some problems with office so i played i bit with the file registries removing two strings and the issue was solved, but at this point i think i must have broke something lol. On my other pc i made a boot usb with windows 10 and tried to install windows with that but now i’m stuck with a black screen. It goes like this: Bios screen, F11 to open boot menu and select usb, windows logo, windows logo with the loading dots and boom, the whole screen fades to black. Any suggestions?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
