    Problems with Windows 10 - Permission issue/Virus


    Hello! I have been having issues with windows for a couple of days now. Hoping someone can provide some help!!Main Issues - One of the issues is that I cannot install anything on my PC. When I try to open an installer it gets stuck loading for a few minutes and then gives me this error: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." or "Access is Denied" - Another problem is that I cannot open certain windows features, for example, I cannot open "reset this pc" as nothing happens when I

    Windows 10 permissions...

    Ok so I feel officially dumb I am trying to copy my steam library to my NAS. Both are on windows 10 pro and both have full control in the file manager. Neither windows nor fast copy will allow me to copy, both list a permissions error? This was never an issue with windows 7...so first off thank you microsoft god forbid I want to back up my data, second off what the heck do I need to do to make this work. All I could fine online was to set full control and that obviously didn't help.

    Also robocopy doesn't apparently work with network locations?

    How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?

    It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

    I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
