    Dear Sir,We met one OS time discrepancy issue. And the issue only could be reproduced when OS is trying to sync the time from hardware clockProcess ID: PID4. From the DOE, we know that nearly 1 hour, the OS would conduct the 'system time sync' behavior one time. Is there any way for me to modify the OS setting such as registry etc to increase the 'OS sync time behavior' freq, like twice, 3, 8 or more times per hour?

    Windows 8.1: "System time synchronized with the hardware clock."

    Every so often my time on PC was resetted to 2 hours in the past. I checked my settings for synchronizing time with an Internet time server but as I knew, synchronization was turned off. So I started looking at other reasons and I found this entry in Event Viewer:


    Process: '' PID 4. Freq change System time synchronized with the hardware clock. [​IMG]

    It says:
    I do not know why did Windows synchronizes time with my time in BIOS but it is wrong and I never requested it nor did I turn it on.

    Clock displays wrong time

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings of time and time zone:

    • Press “Windows+X” and click on “control panel”.
    • On the left hand side click on “clock, language and region”.
    • Click on “change time zone”.
    • And then click on the tab “internet time” and click on “change settings”.
    • Check the box “synchronize with an internet time server” and also select the option “time.windows.com” from the drop down and click on “ok” and check if the issue persists.

    Scheduled "At Startup" task that worked in Windows 7 no longer works after upgrade to Windows 10

    IN the Event viewer for Windows Logs: System, I see the following entry right after boot:

    "The system time has changed to ‎2019‎-‎12‎-‎05T06:53:30.500000000Z from ‎2019‎-‎12‎-‎05T02:39:47.482360000Z.

    Change Reason: System time synchronized with the hardware clock.

    Process: '' (PID 4)."

    However, the system time did not change and my scheduled task changed the time later:

    "The system time has changed to ‎2019‎-‎12‎-‎05T11:51:56.461485400Z from ‎2019‎-‎12‎-‎05T06:54:49.383706000Z.

    Change Reason: An application or system component changed the time.

    Process: '\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\svchost.exe' (PID 4972)."

    I will investigate further.

    Suggestions are welcome.
