Windows 10: Processor compatibility with Windows 11

Will Microsoft ever update Windows 11 to be compatible with an Intel Core i7/i7k processor? My computer cost over $2000 and is barely 4 years old. I don't understand why Microsoft would design its new operating system so that it could not be loaded on a computer of that caliber.

You do not need to reply to me. You can post in this thread to get the benefit of everybody's wisdom. Such as that of Bree who has also read the Windows 11 section of Windows Processor Requirements - MSDocs and has identified that your CPU is not listed there.

Windows 11 and my processor question

MS did allow only a few handful of 7th gen Intel CPUs for Win11 but other 7th gen Intel and AMD Zen 1 CPUs remain incompatible or unsupported

while you could clean install Win11 on a PC that does not have the recommended specs, you may not be able to receive updates for Win11

so install Win11 at your own risk
