Compatibility check is wrong.Installed processor is listed as compatible in windows processor requirements page but compatibility check records processor is unsupported.When will this be fixed? It has been unchanged now for months and windows update will not offer an upgrade because of the perceived incompatibility.Frankly it doesn't engender much confidence in the efficacy of the upgrade process to have these basic contradictions.

several thoughts about your comment:

1) In that link, the 32 cores and 256 cores is when he is referring to Win8 not Win10. Win10 is downgraded to 2 cores according to him.

2) when I do a "msinfo32.exe" on my computer, I get "Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)". So, I would think Microsoft would know what is on my computer, 4 cores 8 processors.

no, I don't believe I have 4 processors. I believe I have 4 cores (i.e. 4 cpu's with) 8 logical processors as shown by msinfo32.exe

I am running Windows 7 on a 64 bit 4 core, 8 logical processor computer. I would like to go to Windows 10, but it is limited to 2 cores, 4 logicals. Does microsoft have any intention of advancing Windows 10 to 64 bit 4 cores 8 logical processors?
