Windows 10: Product Key no longer working after upgrading to Windows 11

I recently upgraded my PC and previously my motherboard did not support Windows 11. Now with the new system I am able to upgrade to Windows 11, however since i performed the upgrade my product Key no longer works and I have the watermark on the bottom right of my screen prompting to "Activate Windows". Is there any way to have my product key work again or do i need Microsoft to supply a new one?

Can you upgrade to Windows 11 using a Windows 7 product key?

About a month ago I upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10, which was an upgrade from Windows 7. This is not an OEM version of Windows. A week ago I upgraded my CPU, motherboard, and RAM, something I've done before with the same boot drive, however Windows is now saying that it hasn't been activated. The following message appears next to the troubleshoot button, "Windows reported that the hardware of your device has changed. Error code: 0xC004F211." When following the steps using the troubleshoot option, I eventually get an error message saying I can't activate windows at this time and to try again later. I tried the "Change product key" option and reentered my original product key, but that doesn't work either. I contacted Microsoft customer support and was told to buy a new product key because my product key is no longer valid; I can't upgrade to Win 11 using a Win 7 product key. I had no issues with Win 11 for about a month before I made the hardware change. Are Windows 7 product keys no longer work with Windows 11 or is there another issue here?

 

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

 

From windows 11 to windows 10 product key

I built a gaming pc back in December and at that time I bought a windows 11 key from best buy. I have had issues with windows 11 so I wanted to go to windows 10 and see if that was more stable and helped with the issues I have been having. When going through the starting steps of windows install it asked for a product key but since I no longer had the box with the product code, I did the option of adding the product code later. After setup I found a way to locate the product code by using a note pad and entering some codes that was suggested by windows. After I saved the note pad it said product key and when I double clicked on the file it produced a product key (which I'm assuming is my original product key for the windows 11 copy I purchased). Now when I enter the product key in to activate windows 10 it is giving me an error of "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again or enter a different one. (0x80041023)" I really don't want to spend the $100 plus again for a windows 10 code please help.
