Windows 10: Product Key

Okay, so I have a HP 15-f387wm that obviously came with Windows 10 already on it and all of that. I have Windows 7 (legal with product key) so I decided to dual boot. Everything was going fine then Windows 10 partition along with the Recovery partition wiped disk space unallocated. So I am now just running Windows 7. I had all of my important stuff saved elsewhere so I am not worried about that. The problem is that I don't know what the product key was for it. I did the virtual chat with Microsoft and they said contact HP. I did that and that guy got quite an ear full from me when I was told I have to buy the product key even though I technically already did when I purchased the damn computer. Long story short I am trying to figure out how I can get my Windows 10 back. If I have to buy it then forget it I'll figure something else out. Please any advice/info is greatly appreciated.

i know the product id but forget the product key

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).
