Windows 10: Product Key

When I purchased my laptop back in 2010 I believe it came with everything on it including microsoft word, power point and excel. I guess it was a trial or something because it started asking me for a product key, I had no idea what that was, but when I found out that it was located on the bottom of my laptop I looked and I could not make all the letters or numbers out. I then went to the store where i had purchased the laptop to see if they could help me out or the people who installed everything on my laptop no one could help me. So I have been trying to use my programs and or get a free trial or purchase and i'm still having issues. I have a resume that i need to get done, so can you help me out please. I'm no computer whiz or anything like that.

i know the product id but forget the product key

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).
