Windows 10: product key

I have recently bought a new desktop computer for Ebuyer and it came with a disk copy of windows 10 and a product key. As I waited for windows 10 to install I tired scratching the pink sticker to get the product key if it was needed but I scratched to hard and tore the sticker and it became unusable. however by the time the installation finished it didn't require a key but when I look in settings it said that it wasn't activated prior to installing window 10 and required a key so how do I get a replacement key? or should i buy another one?

Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).

i know the product id but forget the product key

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.
