    TL;NR: Any way to keep Windows from recreating WindowsApps folder on non-system internal drive?

    Note: This was all because of a botched install of r/PSO2.

    I installed the game on the drive (the game drive), but then one reboot later, the game install went corrupt, so I install the game on the system drive. The game works and hasn't broken again, but now I'm stuck with a Program Files\WindowsApps directory on my game drive. There's nothing in it. Since standard permissions can't delete it, I go about claiming the folder and deleting it, which works. A reboot later, and Windows insists on recreating said folder.

    No matter how many times I claim and delete the folder, it keeps coming back. My storage drive, on the other hand, does not have this said folder. I need to find a way to remove it permanently.

    Hmm, which is faster. I attempted a Live Linux Drive already but it was very slow and would not boot, not to mention I don't know a thing about using linux.

    Would option 2 be easier? I looked at Macrium, but the install steps themselves are confusing me, and I fear not knowing how to navigate it once I boot to it.

    EDIT: I installed Macrium Reflect Free, went through these steps to create the media.
    Don't forget to check the UEFI/MBR box if you are attempting this yourself.
    I then booted to it, "browsed my files for an image", but for real, navigate to the WindowsApps folder on your secondary drive, and delete it. It doesn't disappear instantly, but when you exit the drive, and log back into windows, the folder will be gone.

    Unnecessary apps in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

    I see a lots of versions of the same app in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. These are apps that I don't even have installed. Overall they are taking up about 10GB.

    1. How can I remove these apps completely?
    2. Or can I keep only the most recent version?

    The storage sense
    suggested here     or disk cleanup of system files has not helped.
