    Program Manager is causing Windows to no shut down


    About 50% of the time lately when I am shutting down my PC I get a message that Program Manager is preventing Windows shutting down. I always click on Shutdown Anyway. What is causing this issue?

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    when you are trying to launch a game. This might be due to the corrupt display drivers.

    Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

    1. Does this issue occur to this particular game?

    2. What is the make and model of the computer?

    Follow the below steps and check if it helps,

    I suggest you to uninstall the Display Adapter drivers from Device manager and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Follow the steps for the same.

    • Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
    • Right-click on the Display Adapter listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
    • Install the latest driver from the manufacturer website.

    Program Manager Shut down by Windows

    Thank you for your interest. Apparently Program Manager was used in older versions of windows to control all the programs. From what I gather it is not used for that in later windows. It has been said that it may not be a Windows problem and it may be there is a an app with a program manager. It has been suggested that Nvidia or Logitech may be the problem. There are a lot of people with the same problem and no one really has a definite answer about how to solve it.
