Program that has been deleted can't be started after downloading again because it's running...?

I tried to install Fortnite on my PC, but I'm an absolute idiot and now the launcher for the game doesn't work/can't be installed even after deleting it and downloading it again.

Idk if it's a problem with the launcher or with windows tbh, hope someone can help me.

So, from the beginning: I went to the website, downloaded the launcher, installed it and everything went on as it should. When I came to the point where I could actually download the game it told me that there's not enough space on my PC so I moved some things to... yeah, idk what it even is tbh. A second hard disc maybe? (I'm really dumb when it comes to computers.) And while moving things I thought: "Hey, why not move the launcher for the game there too?" So I closed it and tried to move it to the 'idk what it is thing'. But because it was just copied to the 'idk' I deleted the launcher that was saved on my regular ?hard disc?. Afterwards I tried to start the launcher again (on the 'idk thing') and it didn't work. So I reinstalled the EpicInstaller (this time I left it on the other hard disc or whatever) and tried to start it. It gave me an error message and asked if I want to repair or delete it.

No matter which option I choose it always ends up the same: a message shows up, telling me, that the launcher is running right now and that I should close it (even though it's not even installed...?) There are three options: stop, try again and ignore. Try again just reopens the message. Ignore causes the message to disappear only to show me a few seconds later that the launcher is running and thus the setup wizard can't do its job.

And then after I close the message I only get a message that the launcher has been ended because of an error.

Btw. I had to translate most of the error messages, so it could be a bit unclear. In that case ask and I'll try my best to explain.

    sorry that i'm so dumb...

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name

    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.

TwitchSetup Failing to run after being downloaded

    Thanks Zed,

I appreciate the prompt reply. Unfortunately it didn't help.

Step 1. Uninstall TwitchSetup: It was never installed. Twitchsetup.exe was downloaded into my download folder, but won't run from there as explained in the OP. It is the installer program for "Twitch Desktop App" which is what I ultimately want to install.
So there was nothing to uninstall under the application list (by the way on my PC I found "Apps and Features", not "Programs and Features" - did I look in the right spot?). So, instead, I deleted the TwitchSetp.exe from the download folder.

Step 2. There were a few .txt files in the Temp folder I couldn't delete as Windows claimed the associated program was running, although on task bar nothing was running. Anyway they were just .txt files so should be harmless, I think. There was no %Temp
    folder as the moment.

So did all that and rebooted and redownloaded the TwitchSetp.exe and ran it and again the same "cant find blahgblah.msi file".

    Any other suggestions?

    Regards,
