    Program volume always at 100 even when main volume is muted?


    There is one program on my computer Age of Empires 2 if that's relevant that always sounds like the volume is at the maximum, even when I slide the main volume mixer down to zero, lower PC volume with the F2 key, or mute my PC with the F1 key. This seems to only happen when I have headphones or earbuds connected, not through the speaker. As far as I know, it's only one app that does this. I found out how to mute that program by sliding its individual volume mixer down, but I would still like to fix this if possible because it's kind of annoying to have to exit full screen to click on the vol

    Windows will now mute volume

    I am currently running windows 10. Whenever I use my keyboard to mute volume, my volume just jumps from whatever the volume is at to 100 and then back when i try to click mute again. the volume indicator jumps to 100 but the volume of sound does not increase
    or decrease. All other multifunctional keys for sound work fine such as mute mic, increase or decrease volume. Just not mute volume. Not sure what is going on.

    How can i get the volume mixer sound for a particular game if it's muted from volume mixer

    OT- Sound Issues

    Since programs are only listed in volume mixer if they are "making sound", and you mute it from volume mixer, how can you get it back as listed on volume mixer because if it's muted from volume mixer then it won't make sound for volume mixer to identify
    therefore you can never get it back, but I need volume for the game I'm playing. Is there a way to get it to reappear even though it's permanently muted? I've been searching for an answer but it's all saying to make the program make noise so it registers,
    but it's muted from volume mixer, so how do I get it to make noise??

    Volume Mixer not showing muted app

    The application was muted on Windows 10 with November update. Now I am using Anniversary update, on build 14393.10

    The initial step did not help make Banished show up in the Volume Mixer, nor did the article.
