Windows 10: Programs and explorer keeps freezing on usage

Hello, I am having issues with my Windows lately. There are occurrences of programs freezing when I try to access the disc or use file manager.I have two hard drives 1x SSD with system + 1x HDD for other things, which occurs on bothFew examples:1 Browser - When trying to download a file from an internet browser, the browser freezes tried at Chrome, Opera, Edge2 Office - When trying to save as i.g. I have a new excel sheet, and when I click save as, the program freezes. This is not only Office programs but all programs where you "save as"3 Steam - when I click Download button o

Windows Explorer freezes may be due to third-party programs or virus infection. As an initial troubleshooting step, temporarily disable your antivirus programs. After that, replicate the issue if it will freeze. You can enable your antivirus program after
we troubleshoot.

If the issue persists, you can try refreshing/restarting Windows Explorer by following these steps:

• Open Task Manager by typing it in the Cortana search bar, then press Enter.
• Look for Windows Explorer, then right-click it and select End task.
• The taskbar will disappear at the bottom of your screen.
• On the Task Manager, look for any installed application like your browser.
• Right-click it and select the Open file location. A new window will appear.
  
• Click the File tab and select Open Windows Powershell, then select Open Windows Powershell as administrator.
• Type in explorer.exe and press Enter.

It should put the taskbar back at the bottom of your screen. Check if it will freeze again.

Programs keep freezing(not resporting)

Do let us know the following information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• From when are you facing this issue?
• Is there any error code/ error message with this issue?

Step 1: Run the System maintenance troubleshooter.

System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

• Press Windows key and type Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and hit Enter.
• Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
• Select System Maintenance.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 2: I suggest you to install the latest updates on your device, install them and check with the status of this issue.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Try to access the videos on Internet Explorer and check if there is any issues.

Chrome keeps freezing on Windows 10
