Windows 10: Programs and /or computer Freezing so that I have to manually shut down. What do I do please?

Hi. I have Windows 10 and have been running Photoshop and Lightroom Classic to edit photos. Everything has been great until recently I went back to my programs as I had been away from them for a few weeks. Now the programs seem slower and eventually freezes. Even if I wait for a full half hour there is no response and I am forced to try and manually shut down the programs with the X button. I then find that although the programs seem to close and I get a black screen as usual, the actual computer won't shut down. I then have to do this manually. I have 16 GB RAM. Intel R Cure TM i7 - 7700H

When your computer is in hibernate mode, does all your programs have been shut off or closed? May we know what's the specific program that you use? Let's try to reset Power schemes. Please follow the steps below:

• Right on Start button, > select Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• Copy and paste the command below:
  

powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

• When finished, close the command prompt then reboot your PC.
