    Programs either freeze or become extremely slow for a few seconds every few seconds.


    Recently, my notebook started to have some problems where any program I'm using will either freeze completely not responding for a few seconds or become so slow it's unusable. Started a few days ago and is extremely weird. I can be using youtube and the browser just stops responding. The taskbar will also stop working randomly even if the program I'm using doesn't. I can move the mouse around at anytime, no matter what has stopped working, I can even minimize the frozen program and drag things around in my desktop.I have a acer aspire 5 with windows 11, intel core i5-7200U, 12 Gb of DDR4 R

    Constant freezing, slow to open programs and files.

    The title says it all. Constant freezing and slow to open programs - I'm talking about minutes not seconds. I have anti-virus and malware software working. Recently, downloaded latest Windows 10 update. Now it seems worse. But it was bad before that. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    PC Freezes for 1-2 seconds when launching certain programs

    The PC would freeze for a few seconds when I open certain programs the first time after waking the PC from sleep. It would not freeze if I open the program again after the first time, until I sleep the PC again. Programs that would freeze are e.g. MPC, Potplayer, etc.

    Tried:
    -Clean Windows 10 install, twice
    -Newest drivers
    -New Monitor, New TV

    Any Suggestions? Thanks!

    Slow file saves (15 seconds) for a simple Word 2019 doc in Windows 11

    Hello again, David. Since Word reverted to slow file saves (the "solution" I found on Intel's forum failed), I returned to your suggestion that I create a new folder on a drive (I chose the fast system M.2 C: drive) and save files in various formats. Here are my results:

    1. Save in Word .docx format was instantaneous (however, the file took 12 seconds to open from an external 1TB SanDisk Extreme SSD – may have be connected with an older, slower USB cable, not marked USB 5 or USB 10 - however, the slow save issue exists with all four drives: default C:, internal SSD D:, SanDisk external SSD E:, and a backup 7200rpm 6TB hard disk).
    2. Save As Word .RTF format was slow, 12 seconds for a 197 mb file.
    3. Save from Photoshop was instantaneous.
    4. Save As in LibreOffice .ODT format was fairly fast, about 3 seconds for a 15 mb file.
