    Programs launch at startup and aren't supposed to


    Running Windows 10 Home OS build 19041.572 on an Acer Predator G3-571. Without changing any settings, some programs started launching at startup on its own. I went in and made sure these programs had that option turned off. My "Startup Apps" tab on Windows is also cleared. Yet, these programs keep launching!
    What's worse is now they're launching in delayed times. For example, Discord would launch 5 minutes after startup, and Dropbox 20 minutes after startup. Still, none of these programs are set to launch at startup, or on their own at all.
    Any solutions for these 2 issues? Is there another feature I'm missing?

    Adding programs to startup with Windows 7?

    You could add entries to the registry to launch the apps on startup, but it's easier to just add them to the startup foler as Newt suggested.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    I've tried approach (b) before.
    The program is launched successfully at user logon, but it runs in the background and the GUI does not show up. This method, I think, is primarily for console applications.

    I'll try approach (a) BootRacer to see if it can help.
