  1. Programs not switching audio devices when I switch the audio device

My Setup: Dual monitors with integrated speakers and a headset I plug/unplug frequently.

Issue: On my desktop computer, when I open a program with sound, the sound loads into the audio device that is currently being used, but when I switch the playback device (either to the headset or the other monitor), the sound output switches but the programs sound stays with the original sound device.

Example: I have a video game's sound coming out of Monitor 1. I want to switch to my headset. I plug in my headset, and the playback device switches to my headset. However, the video game sound stops. Windows sounds comes out of my headset and any other programs I open to test it. I open up Volume mixer, and I see that the video game audio is still set to Monitor 1. So far, the only way I've found to move the program's audio to the audio device I want is to reopen the program when I have the audio device selected, which is annoying.

Note: When I have my laptop plugged into my dual monitors, I don't have this issue. On my laptop, switching the playback device switches all open programs to that playback device, and plugging in my headset switches everything to the headset automatically. This is the setup I want on my desktop.

    Help! Thank you in advance!
