Windows 10: Programs on Windows 10 randomly freezes, stuck on spinning circle, or remains stuck at "Not...

The symptoms of this are when the program doesn't display images in it's icons. Whenever you click a program, it locks up until you reboot.


Although it's an unfixed issue, I found a workaround. The culprit seems to be explorer.exe, there's likely a memory leak or Hard Drives (I own an HDD) using the process heavily to the point where it gets stuck. To remedy this, I created a bat file for explorer that would restart the process.

Note:

You have to use it whenever you program has a high power usage or when icons don't display. There's a bug with explorer.exe where my HDD reads it excessively.

Thank you for paying attention to my issue.

I have reinstalled my windows 10 today on my Thinkpad P50. It seems no problems during the installation, but since I installed several drivers and reboot my PC, the spinning circle will stops for about 5 seconds every time, then the bright of the monitor changes and OS starts.
The system seems normal, but I just want to know the reason: Have I made some mistakes? Or what makes the spinning circle stuck?

Windows 10 Stuck At With Spinning Circle after Upgrade

I unplugged the wireless usb receiver and the installation continued. It was stuck at about 70%. The anniversary update finished ok. I didn't have to restart. Restarting the pc when the circle is spinning caused Windows 10 to roll back to the previous
build.
