Windows 10: Programs running in minimized window

Hello,I am trying to run the Steam program on windows 11 on my pc and whenever I try to run the program it opens in the background and stays minimized on the Taskbar. I have tried uninstalling it then reinestalling but that does nothing. I try to maximize it but that doesn't work either. It doesn't look to be a steam issue as I can open it on my surface 7 no problem. I'll tried steam support but can't get the right help I need. Any help would be great Thank you

Programs run minimized on task bar

I am using windows 10 and two programs run on the task bar as minimized I have not been able to find a way to enlarge the programs. First it was Chrome and now Excel is doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

First it was chrome then a week or so later Excel started doing it. The program open and they show on the task bar if you move the curser over them you can see that the program is open but you can not enlarge the small window the controls for enlarge and
minimize do not show only an x to close. I do not know of any software changes unless there was an update for something.

I tried the steps you outlined and they had no effect.

Thanks for the help, any other suggestions? I am lost without my excel!

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
