  1. Programs running very slow, blue screen, sleep issues on new pc

    Hello,

I have a brand new Asus ZenBook Pro Duo with 16GB memory, Core i7-9750H, NVidia RTX 2060 graphics card. I use Photoshop and Lightroom intensively. I am having the following issues:

    1. Very slow, runs much slower than my previous 5 year old laptop. I notice this with most all programs but particularly with Photoshop and Lightroom. Lightroom often times out when opening from sleep.

    2. BSOD error "unexpected store exception" only once 2 weeks ago. After this error I ran sfc/ scannow and chkdsk which did repair files and I have not had the problem again but wanted to mention

    3. When the computer goes to sleep it seems to be shutting down improperly. Photoshop creates recovery files as if it crashed, while it is either going into or coming out of sleep mode.

    4. It is often unresponsive to touch or the mouse almost as if it is frozen but it will respond to keyboard shortcuts.

Current on updates. Uninstalled McAfee. I don't see anything obvious in task manager.

I am starting here though I admit that I do not know if this is a graphics card or other hardware issue or if it is Windows. ANy help you can offer would be much appreciated.

    :)

  3. My new PC and Tablet PC

    Hi Alfa,

As per the information, I suggest that you refer to the article below and check if you are able to rectify the BSOD's that you are faced with.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/14238/windows-10-troubleshoot-blue-screen-errors

As for the issue with the Acer PC, I suggest that you Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's performance, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether
multiple programs are running at the same time. Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + X on the keyboard.

    • Select Control Panel.

    • Select Troubleshooting.

    • Click on Run maintenance task under
      System and Security.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

  4. Programs running very slow, blue screen, sleep issues on new pc

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
