Windows 10: programs suddenly go at a low resolution and cant solve it

my laptop has a 1920x1080 resolution and since if i put the scale at 100% everything is very small, i have to put 125% on scale, but some programs don't respond well to this and go at a lower resolution than they should and i dont like it. how can i solve this? already tried the auto correct scale on programs feature and doesn't work

Install if there are nay pending updates through Windows updates before performing below step.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the display driver then try to change the screen resolution.

Follow the steps given below to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers.

• Press Windows key +
  X and select Device Manager.
• Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
• Right click on the display Adapters and select Uninstall.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer to download the latest display adapters.

Low resolution programs

Hi,

I've seen a familiar thread with the same problem, but that will only fix one program at a time.

So when I open a program it opens in a really low resolution.

So far I've found out that opening the program with compatibility > Disable display scaling on high DPI settings will fix it.

But it's very annoying that I have to do it for all the programs and it doesn't fix some properties screens which are also in low resolution.

I had this problem in windows 8.1 too, but in 8.1 I could just go to display settings >Change the size of all programs.

Now in 10 I can do the same but it will make everything smaller, like the startbar, font etc.

Is there a other fix to this or is this ment to be like this?

 

Change resolution without seeing

I suggest you to follow the steps below. Check if it helps.

• Press Windows key on the keyboard
• Click on settings
• Go to Display
• Click on Advance display settings
• Change the resolution (1280x1024 recommended)

Try to boot into Safe Mode with Networking or Enable low-resolution video.

To enter into low-resolution mode
in Windows 10 in change the settings in it, follow the steps given below.

• Restart your PC.
• Press Shift + F8 before the Windows logo appears.
• Click See Advanced Repair Options.
• Click Troubleshoot.
• Click Advanced Options.
• Click Windows Startup Settings.
• Click Restart.
