Windows 10: Programs that require internet crash upon start up.

I have been experiencing a problem with my 64-bit Lenovo IdeaPad, Windows 10. It first occurred on December 2nd, 2019, where it would not run any program unless it was a browser or a program that is hard wired in the system like task manager and would give an error. I read that I could fix this by using a repair disk health cmd, which worked! Sort of. Now a new problem arises, I can run any application now, but I now can not run any applications that would use internet, this includes programs like: Games, Installers, Productivity, and other Miscellaneous things such as that, while browsers are still able to function just as normal. Although, they do not crash, rather they close out of them selves and give no error, but the system reads it as if it crashed. I know what you're gonna ask, have I done anything prior to these two incidents. No, I have not- this computer was completely normal before hand when one day I woke up and start up and this occurs.

Programs started crashing

Hey,

I saw some videos on the internet on how to make programs run "better", one of the steps where to go to task manager and set the program's piority to high or something, i did that nothing happend. I did it to minecraft and hitfilm 4 express, the next day
the programs are crashing crazy!

Please help

1. What changes have been made on the computer before this issue start?
2. When you say crash, does it disconnect the computer from the internet or the whole system crashes?
3. Does it have an error message?
4. It is possible that an antivirus or malware-prevention software might prevent you from getting connected so with that, do you have a third-party antivirus or malware protection program installed in the computer?

In the meantime, I suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter to isolate the issue. Here's how:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Network troubleshooter, and then select
   Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
2. Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

You can also perform the troubleshooting steps in this article to determine the root cause of the problem.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
