Windows 10: Project to "PC screen only" does not work in Windows 11

Hello everyone, I seem to have an issue with Windows 11 on my laptop where I cannot turn off the external monitor when I do not need to use it. When I select "PC screen only", the external monitor turns off for a few seconds before turning back on again. Windows 11 Projecting to TV Screen

I have downloaded windows 11 and having issues projecting my laptop to a Smart TV. I go through the steps to add the device and am able to project my laptop screen at that time. The issue begins when I want to do it the next time. The only way that I can get it to work, is to remove the device (TV) from my list of devices then re-add it every time I want to project to the TV. There has to be a better way to do this but it is all that has worked for me.

2. What happens when you try to project to TV?
   
3. Were you able to project the laptop screen to TV earlier?
   

Miracast is a wireless technology your PC can use to project your screen to TVs, projectors, and streaming media players that also support Miracast. You can use this to share what you’re doing on your
PC, present a slide show, or even play your favorite game on a larger screen.

I suggest you refer and follow the suggestions from

• Are you receiving any error message?
  
• Were you able to project the laptop screen to TV earlier?
  
• What is the make and model of your laptop?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article
Fix connections to wireless displays or docks and check if that helps.
