Windows 10: Protected files in One Drive.

I have some Word files that are protected with a password. They have always sync correctly with both my computers and an Android phone and tablet. Recently they still sync correctly on the computers but don't sync on the Android devices. If a file was updated on the computer on the phone they would be a message to refresh the file when it would open on the phone. That is no longer happening. Removing One Drive from the phone an reinstalling has worked sometimes, but not always. Every other file syncs perfectly normally. The problem seems to be only with the protected files. I have gone through all the normal troubleshooting procedures, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. I have not made any changes on the phone unless there has been an update of the One Drive App.

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
