    Protecting Partitioned Hard drives


    Hi, a quick curious question: I have two partitioned drives in my PC (not my C drive). If I removed these hard drives from my PC and reconnect them to another PC (a rebuild), will my partitions be lost on reconnection of the hard drives or will they (my data) remain in tact? Thanks.

    I have two separate operating systems running on the same hard drive on my laptop, Windows 7 and Linux Mint. I am concerned that the Windows 10 will have an affect on the Linux partition and it's apps for windows. Will it? What should I do to protect the

    Protecting Partitioned Hard drives

    The partitioning and data are recorded and contained on the hard drives and stay that way unless you perform operations to change them, or damage them some way. So, no, partitions won't change and, yes, data is still there. Just make sure power is off when disconnecting and reconnecting.
