    The link is now opening in both Edge and Chrome. Last night in Chrome it automatically downloaded as a hosts_browser file rather than opening the link.

    When I open the Hosts file shortcut it only shows the default information, is that normal? When I open it from the System32 folder it has the copied list in it...

    Nope the one above.

    To open manually, first open notepad as an admin, then click file in toolbar, select open, find host file.

    Oh, you can delete the .txt file as it does nothing.

    Ok I don't think I've done the initial setup correctly, new OS installation. Will try this again soon.

    One more note:

    Do not select "save as", you should just select "save".

    I ran through the initial setup on the first page again but it's still creating a hosts.txt file in the same directory. *Confused

    Edit: After the Unicode warning I was saving the file as a .txt rather than selecting the all files option.
