Windows 10: Protection history crashes, I tried following instructions given for a similar question and...

Hi, I think I may have by mistake accepted actions suggested through Windows Security for threats it detected without going through them, so I wanted to take a look and if needed to change stuff.And I have a similar problem as hererotection history crashes - Microsoft Community I tried following the solution given and I can't open the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans" folder and I'm the administrator here, I get this:When I press continue, I get:When I click the security tab I get this:So obviously I click advanced as that is the only option, and I get this screen, nothing he

Clear Windows Security Center (Defender) Protection History

Did not work for me. After going through all steps I still have protection history full

 

Protection History Question

Question on Protection History. See screenshot.
On Protection History, how do I delete only the 2 items for Severe listings? In the past, I seem to remember deleting entries like this in the Protection History page with 1 or 2 clicks. However, I don’t see that delete option now.

Protection History

I'm having trouble clearing the Protection History section in Windows Security. I did clear Allowed Threats, but not Protection History. I followed the instructions on this website: How to manually clear Windows Defender Protection History & ran into problems. 1. Using the 'Set-MpPreference' command in PowerShell gave me this message: "'Set-MpPreference' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." 2. Trying to open the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans folder gives me the "You don't currently have permission to access this folder' error message. Even though the folder's Properties Access show that I DO have Full Control. 3. I was able to get into Event Viewer & complete those instructions. But Protection History still did not clear. I've tried all instructions using both my Standard Account & Administrator Account. Anyone have any other suggestions I can try?
