Windows 10: "Provide a PIN" screen

I was using my device normaly after logging off and shutting down, I went to bed. I did not update, uninstall, or do anything out of the ordinary. However, the next day, there was a message saying "Provide a PIN." Underneath that, there was a button which said "OK" However many times I tried to press OK, it flashed like I clicked it, but continued displaying the message. The box to put my password in does not appear.


I have tried restarting and also leaving it for a day, but I am faced with the same issue.


I tried to enter the "Recovery Environment", but all the choices provides to enter PIN, However many times I try to type the PIN it says "Checking" and "The password is incorrect" apeare, I tried to click on forgot password, but it restart the device and display the same "Provide a PIN" screen.


I can't enter my discktop or using any choice from the "Recovery Inviroment".

I suggest you to create a PIN for your device and try the on screen keyboard to login to the same.

You may follow the steps below to create PIN protection for your device.

• 
  Go to Settings and select account.
  
• 
  Click on sign in option and Go to PIN option.
  
• 
  Now click on Add and set PIN for login.
  

You can use the same PIN to login to your device using the on screen Keyboard from ease of access option and verify the result.

Have PIN for Windows 10 but need Windows password

Hi,

To set up a PIN on your Windows account, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Type the word pin in the search box and select
  Set up PIN sign-in.

  Under the PIN section, click the
  Add button.
  
• 
  Enter the password for your user account, then click the
  OK button.
  
• 
  Follow the instructions on the screen.

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Does anybody know how to clear the "Pin suggested" list on the "People bar"?

Contacts are added to the "Pin suggested" list once you've pinned and unpinned them. But there seems to be no obvious way to remove them from that list.

After playing around with this feature and pinning and unpinning many dummy contacts, it's rather annoying to see them in the "Pin suggested" list when you click on the "My People" icon in the taskbar.
