Windows 10: Proxy connection failed error shows up almost daily

    Proxy connection failed error shows up almost daily


    The subject pretty much sums up my problem. Roughly a few months into using my new laptop I first got this error, nothing I couldn't fix with some google search. But after getting that error the first time, it just started appearing more and more often, to the point I get it almost daily, sometimes even twice a day.

    I'm mostly looking for other's opinion on this subject. Personally, I think this is a sign there might be something wrong with my computer(not necessarily malware, but maybe something in my settings that causes this to happen). What do you think?

    Proxy connection failed

    1. Click on start and then type cmd. Once got the CMD right click on it and run it as an Administrator.

    2. Type the commands one by one :-

    1. netsh winsock reset

    and hit enter. It will ask you to restart your system. Please restart.

    2. netsh winhttp reset proxy

    and then press ENTER. Restart your system. Your issue will be fixed.

    The second step showed "direct access (no proxy server)" but after restarting again it's showing the same ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED.

    Proxy Server?

    When I was in high school, I used this website. It is a website that lists working proxies, updated daily. If you choose the right ones, you can actually successfully watch youtube videos through the proxy!
