Windows 10: Ps3 controller not connecting to my laptop Windows 10

Hi, I recently bought a new Ps3 controller, and have tried connecting it to my Laptop but unfortunately have had no luck at all. Its simple not showing the PS3 controller in the control panel. I tried all kinds of software available but nothing works. Please let know what drivers I need to install to be able to detect a Ps3 controller in control panel once I plug it in.

I have seen on you tube how people have connected their ps3 controller to N900. (not using N900 as controller but playing games on N900 using the controller)

Can someone please guide me step by step how to connect the controller to N900.

ps3 controller won't register as a device

I used to be able to connect my ps3 controller to my laptop and it would work fine. Now, not only does it not work, but when I go into "devices and printers," windows 10 doesn't even recognize the controller as one of my devices anymore; it instead lists
the ps3 controller in the "unspecified" category. I don't know what changed, maybe I accidentally messed around with something and screwed it up but I would really appreciate any help I tried everything. Thanks!
