Publisher and Access Files won't open through File Explorer

I have both Access and Publisher installed on my laptop, in addition to the regular Office apps. When I attempt to open either a Publisher file or Access database, there is no icon and it tells me I do not have a program available to open that file type. When I try to set the default program to open .pub or .accdb file types, both give the same message. Yet if I open the program first and go through the program to open the files, they work fine. I would like to be able to open all my files through the file explorer...

    opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Publisher and Access Files won't open through File Explorer

Open File Explorer with pre-defined directory?

    Welcome to TenForums @clsven

First, pin File Explorer to the task bar. You can then click and drag a folder (such as Videos) and drop it on the File Explorer icon to pin it to File Explorer. The list of pinned folders can be accessed by right-clicking on the File Explorer icon. Select a folder from the list and you will open File Explorer at that folder. This is the same list of pinned folders that you will see in File Explorer's Quick Access.
