Windows 8.1 Pro Student Offer/ Transferring Product Key

Good Day

I Purchased the Windows 8.1 Pro Student Offer back in 2015 however I have sold my Computer approximately 3 months ago with that Windows 8.1 Package installed on the system . I plan on purchasing a new computer. Is there any way I can use that same product
key on my new computer as I have the product key in my email still. If not is there Windows 8.1/10 Student offers (as the one mentioned in the description) available still for purchase as Im currently a student still

Help will be highly appreciated in this matter.

 

Win 10 Pro product key not accepted

I purchased a new laptop with Win 10 Home digital license. At the same time I purchased a Win 10 Pro update disk. When I try to change product key under Activation, the product key is not accepted. "The product key you entered didn't work".

 

How to retain the lost product key?

There is nothing you can do. The software itself is nothing. All of the money is in the product key. Throw that away and the only recourse is to buy Windows again in order to get a new key.

At least if he buys Windows from the Windows Store his product key is preserved in his Store account permanently and he can retrieve it just by logging in. I suggest that his next step is to purchase Windows from the Windows Store. He won't have to reinstall
