I purchased Screen Recorder for Windows 11 Installer on the Microsoft Store with a lifetime license. I can see this purchase listed in my Microsoft account order history, confirming that I have paid for it. However, when I go to the Microsoft Store → Library → Purchased Apps, this app is not showing up, and I have no option to reinstall it.Recently, I had to reset my system, and now I am unable to download the app again. Since I purchased the app under a lifetime plan, I should still have access to it.STEPS I HAVE TRIED:Checked the Microsoft Store Library under "Purchased Apps," but the app is

  2. Where to find Windows 10 Screen recorder

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

When you say Screen recorder are you referring to Problem Step recorder?

Steps Recorder is a feature which can automatically capture the steps you take on the computer. It also creates a text description of where you clicked and
the screen shot during each click. To get more information about the Step recorder feature please check the steps below.

How to open and use Steps Recorder:

    • In the search bar type Step recorder and click on it.
    • At the right side of steps recorder, click on the
      dropdown arrow.
    • Choose Settings to continue.
    • Under settings Name the file and specify
      saved location.
    • In the Steps Recorder Settings dialog box, click Browse button.
    • Name output file, choose file type (e.g
      ZIP Files
or XML Files), specify saved location and click
      Save.
    • After making the above changes Enable Screen Capture option by selecting
      “YES”.
    • Set number of screen captures and click on OK. (By default the number of screen capture is set to 25.)
    • You can use the features of step recording like Start Record, Pause Record, Resume Record, Add Comment
and Stop Record while using the step recorder.
    • Later you can check for the output of the file that you have worked on.

Note: You will not be able to create short videos of the screen recording using this application.

HDMI port can't connect to external monitor after windows update June 2024

Im using an Acer Nitro Laptop, and after an recent Windows update on 25 June 2024, my HDMI port doesn't seem to be working (it was working fine). I have tried the usual steps; updating drivers, restoring system. Cable and external monitor works fine when tested with another machine (laptop). Is anyone facing a similar issues?

Microsoft Released June 2024 part 2 cumulative updates for Windows 11, 10 on 25th June 2024

On 25th June 2024 Microsoft released cumulative updates

    For 23H1, 23H2 Windows 11

    KB5039302 (OS Builds 22621.3810 and 22631.3810) direct link KB5039302

    Highlights

    Gradual rollout

These might not be available to all users because they will roll out gradually.

    • New! This update adds a new Game Pass recommendation card on the Settings home page. This home page shows on Home and Pro editions when you sign in to Windows using your Microsoft account. The card appears if you actively play games on your PC.
    • New! The show desktop button is on the taskbar again by default. To change this, right-click the taskbar and choose Taskbar settings. At the lower part of the page, you will find Taskbar behaviors.
    • New! This update affects File Explorer. You can now create 7-Zip and Tape Archive (TAR) files using the context menu. When you right-click a file, a Compress to item gives you ways to compress a file using tools like gzip, bzip2, and more. There is also a new compression wizard in Additional Options. It will help you choose more formats and add details. You can use different types of compression to add many files to archives in other TAR formats. You can also change the compression level and choose the types of data to store in each archive.
    • New! This update adds support for Emoji 15.1. Windows supports Unicode symbol-like shapes for family groupings. But Windows will keep using people for them. Also, you can choose the right or left-facing direction for some people's emoji. The new emojis are:
      • Horizontal and vertical head shake
      • Phoenix
      • Lime
      • Brown mushroom
      • Broken chain
    • New! You can now copy files from the Windows Share window. Just click the new Copy button.
    • New! This update starts the rollout of the new account manager on the Start menu. When you use a Microsoft account to sign in to Windows, you will get a glance at your account benefits. This feature also makes it easy to manage your account settings.
    • New! This update makes it easier to see when you have selected files or folders in File Explorer. Because of this change, a thin, black border now appears around the item you have selected.
    Normal rollout

    • This update addresses an issue that affects the Snipping Tool. When you use it to record videos on some PCs, the audio has distortions.
    • This update addresses an issue that affects the touch keyboard. You cannot use it to enter special characters. This occurs when you use the Japanese 106 keyboard.
    • This update addresses an issue that affects USB devices. Ejecting them using the Safely Remove Hardware option fails. This occurs when the Task Manager is open.

    For 22H2, Windows 10 64bit

    KB5039299 (OS Builds 19045.4598) direct link KB5039299

    Highlights.

    • This update addresses an issue that affects an app’s jump list on the taskbar. Completing actions from that list might fail. A jump list is a menu that appears when you right-click an app on the taskbar or Start menu. It gives you quick access to recently or frequently used app items.
    • This update addresses an issue that affects the default Japanese Input Method Editor (IME). The candidate window stops responding when you do not expect it. Then, it goes back to a former composition state at random.
    • This update addresses a known issue that might occur when you right-click some apps. Instead of running the task you choose from the context menu, an “Open with” dialog appears. It asks you, "How do you want to open this file?" This issue might affect any app that has tasks on a context menu. This issue also affects the icons on the taskbar and Start menu.
