Windows 10: PXE error

    PXE-E61 MEDIA TEST FAILED, CHECK CABLE PXE-MOF EXITING PXE ROM

    Hi,

    I am getting the following error on my
    Dell Studio 1747

    PXE-E61 MEDIA TEST FAILED, CHECK CABLE

    PXE-MOF EXITING PXE ROM

    The hard drive is seen when I hit F2 and look at the specs

    I have taken the hard drive out and reinstalled. It did not help but the computer still recognizes the hard drive.

    Any suggestions?

    PXE-M0F: Existing PXE ROM. Operating System not found.

    Hi Sandcloud, that PXE-M0F error indicates your system is trying to boot from a network drive . . .

    When your system starts, repeatedly press F2 to Enter BIOS

    Change the boot order list so that your Hard Drive is top of the Boot list

    Press F10 to save these settings change

    Restart your system and see if the change sticks

    If it does not, you might need to replace the CMOS battery

    PXE error

    PXE-M0F

    My computer was working fine this morning. Tonight when I went to turn it on it gave me the PXE-E61 error and PXE-M0F. I have tried looking up the problem but can't figure it out. Someone said it was a microsoft update problem.
