    Windows does not remember the last place I saved quickbooks files.

    I thought it was unusual as well, but documented by QB.

    If you see Error -6123,0 while restoring your company file

    Step 1: Remove special characters from the file name

    Make sure your backup company file name:

    • Is 30 characters or less
    • Doesn't have any special characters or spaces
    Step 2: Restore your company file

    Can you list a few helpful hints for T ski ,maybe a step by step how to OR what to look out for*Cool QB did an update, now I can't open...help :cool:

    After Windows 10 update QB Pro wont start

    update to original post. Tried to do a clean boot to see if any conflicts from other software were the cause but still couldn't open QB Pro 2011. I then reverted to an earlier version of Windows 10 (before the 9/22 upgrade # 1607) and all is fine. Can
    open QB Pro again. Something in the Microsoft upgrade didn't like QB. Hope I don't run into any issues when Microsoft decides to upgrade again
