Windows 10: Quad channel ddr4 only recognizes 16GB

I recently got a new ram kit to add to my computer. Before I had A total of 48Gb of ram. 2 being gskill and the others being corshair. however when I installed the newest ram kit all the ram was recognized it bios. I booted up windows and noticed that it said I only had 16 gb installed. i then ran cpu-z which said i had 64gb. I'm wondering why windows only thinks I have 16gb and how to fix this.

Windows 10 only recognizes and uses half available RAM

16gb (4x4) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666

CPU-Z reports all 4, 4gb DIMMs operating in quad channel totaling 16gb

Both task manager, system details and resource monitor all report 8gb

Bug?

DDR4 2400MHz C14 or DDR4 2133MHz C13

neither is better. thy are likely the same thing, with near identical performance. As suggested, some user report issue with BIOS compatibility with Corsair DDR4 (more than is normal), so be sure the memory is on your board's QVL list (although 2400 MHz is rather slow for DDR4, 3000-3200 MHz is where real performance benefit of DDR4 begins)
