    I have a problem with the internet speed on my laptop Asus UL50A. The ethernet adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller NDIS 6.30, softwareversion 2.1.0.27


    My desktop PC and my laptop are both wired connected with CAT5E cables on the same switch.

    The internet speed of my laptop is just over 100Mbps, while my desktop PC runs over 500Mbps.


    Can somebody help me to solve this problem?

    I update my Network Adapter Driver through Device Manager, And it says "The best Driver Software for you device is already installed".

    According to Device Manager, My Network adapter is

    Qualcomm Atheros AR8131 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30).
